Degrees and Programs

American College of Contingency Planners offers a selection of degree programs and departments to meet the needs of today’s students. The college has four departments: Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Information Technology, and Public Administration. Within each department, there are several degree programs available. In the Business Administration department, students can choose from Associate’s degrees in Accounting, Business Administration, and Finance; Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management; and Master’s degrees in E-Business Management or International Business. The Health Care Administration department offers Associate’s degrees in Health Care Management and Nursing; Bachelor’s degrees in Health Care Administration or Nursing; and Master’s degrees in Health Care Leadership or Nursing Education. The Information Technology department has Associate’s degrees in Computer Science or Network Security; Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science or Network Security; and Master’s degree programs in Data Analytics or Software Engineering. Finally, the Public Administration department offers Bachelor’s degrees in Public Policy or Public Service Management; as well as a Master’s degree program focused on Nonprofit Management.

The American College of Contingency Planners also offers a variety of courses that supplement the core curriculum for each program. Admissions Requirements

The American College of Contingency Planners (ACCP) admits individuals with a wide range of backgrounds and qualifications. ACCP looks for applicants who have a strong educational background, including a bachelor’s degree or higher in any field, preferably in the fields of business, finance, economics or public administration. Additionally, applicants must have at least five years of professional experience in the field of contingency planning, emergency management or related areas.

Applicants must also provide two letters of recommendation from professionals who can speak to their experience and qualifications for the program. Applicants should also submit a resume and statement of purpose detailing their motivation for applying to the program and how they intend to use their education to further their professional objectives. Finally, applicants are required to take part in an interview with an admissions committee member. During this interview, candidates need to demonstrate that they understand the principles of contingency planning and have the skills needed to succeed in this program. The admissions committee will evaluate each candidate based on their academic achievements, professional experience and communication skills in order to determine if they are qualified for admission into the ACCP program.
